This page explains what happens to information when you use utahenergypros.com. It describes what the site actually does rather than every possibility, and it is short because the site does very little.

When you fill in the contact form

The form asks for your name, phone number and message, and optionally your email address. When you send it, that information is delivered to us as an email at [email protected]. It is not stored in a database on this website.

We use it to answer you. We do not sell it, rent it, or pass it to anyone who is not working on your enquiry.

The message is delivered by Resend, a transactional email service that handles it in transit. Our mail is hosted by Google Workspace, so once it arrives it sits in a Google mailbox like any other email.

Bot protection

The contact form uses Cloudflare Turnstile to tell a person apart from an automated script. It looks at signals from your browser to decide whether to show a challenge. It is there to stop the form being used to send spam, and it is not used to build a profile of you or follow you around other websites.

Analytics

We use Google Analytics to see how many people visit the site, which pages they read, and roughly where in the country they are. This sets cookies and records an approximate location worked out from your IP address. We read it in aggregate. We are not trying to identify individual visitors, and nothing you type into the contact form is sent to Google.

If you would rather not be counted, most browsers let you block cookies for a single site, and Google publishes a browser add-on that turns Google Analytics off everywhere.

Hosting and fonts

The site is hosted on Cloudflare, which keeps standard server logs including IP addresses for security and troubleshooting. The typefaces come from Google Fonts, which means your browser requests them from Google and Google sees your IP address in the process.

Cookies

The only cookies this site sets are the Google Analytics ones described above, together with anything Cloudflare sets to run Turnstile and keep the site secure. There is no advertising on this site and no advertising cookies.

How long we keep things

Contact form emails stay in our mailbox as ordinary business correspondence. Google Analytics data is retained for up to 14 months and is then deleted automatically.
